‘War Chhod Na Yaar’ – Less war, more comedy!

People like to watch comedy films, serials, as well as dramas because they make the environment a little light. Comedy is also an excellent way to put you in the right mood. However, sometimes excess of comedy also is not good. Excessive usage of comedy can ruin the main purpose of the film or show, as it is expected to do in War Chhod Na Yaar. This new movie is all set to hit the theatres on 11th October, 2013. Director by newcomer Faraz Haider and produced by south producer AOPL Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., this film is touted to be India’s first war comedy.

Leave war, there is a lot of wit in the film, as explained in the War Chhod Na Yaar movie review. The Indian as well as Pakistani soldiers are constantly shown making fun of each other in the trailer. A lot of humorous one-liners and punches that have been used by the soldiers to fight verbally are taking the movie off-track from its main purpose. The director Faraz Haider has very proudly announced during an interview that the movie is going to send a message about avoiding a war. However, it seems to be doing the opposite. The continuous verbal war, where the condition of the respective armies is the target, seems to be hurting the sentiments of many.

The movie barely concentrates on the war aspect and has more of comedy to it. Many of the characters in the film are known for their comic timing and not the drama and emotions. Therefore, as a part of the War Chhod Na Yaar movie review, one can say that there is less of war and more of comedy in the film, which does not completely justify the purpose of the genre!
